Typically we wait for the summer months to hit the beach abroad, however, winter sun can be a surprising treat when its grey and miserable. With an array of school holidays approaching, families have a selection of dates to a play with for a winter sun holiday. Whether you’re looking for short or long haul,  kids’ club or simply a family friendly resort to relax and enjoy oneself, our winter sun suggestions will keep the entire family happy.

 

The Middle East – Oman 

Oman today certainly offers the myth and magic of its heritage and is not spoilt by commercial excesses. Despite the modern appearance of much of it, the country remains intensely traditional and a magical family holiday.  The iconic Ritz-Carlton Al Bustan Palace is a grand affair where old meets new, located 30 kilometers from Muscat and boasting the largest beach in the country. Set in extensive gardens and overlooking the beach to the Sea of Oman, Al Bustan Palace is a wonderful choice for lovers of both nature and culture, with the chance to explore unspoiled beaches, tropical seas, mountains, wadis, caves, and deserts as well as the historical city of Muscat.
