About The Hotel

L’Alpaga, located in the heart of Megeve in the French Alps, offers families intimate luxury with just 22 rooms plus a selection of suites and traditional chalets with views to Mont Blanc. L’Apaga offers families its own kids club, spa, indoor pool and gourmet dining in addition to world class skiing and the village charm of medieval Megeve.

L’Alpaga’s spa, La Colline, has two treatment rooms, a Hammam and an outside Scandinavian bath and sauna facing Mont-Blanc as well as an indoor pool. Skiing in Megeve offers families the chance to enjoy extensive scenic slopes with deserted woodland runs and some lovely mountain restaurants. Megeve’s charming old town centre is car-free and has an open-air ice rink, horse-drawn sleighs, cobbled streets and pretty buildings. Lots of fashionable clothing, jewelry, antique, gift and food shops add to the chic atmosphere.

L’Alpaga has 22 rooms decorated in a contemporary style with wool, cashmere and fake fur and views of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are housed in two large chalets and French windows open onto the mountains or mountain pastures providing access to balconies and patios. There are also five suite apartments located in the chalet Gaspard, in homage to the resort’s famous mountain guide, which work well for families with one, two or three bedrooms and a terrace or a large balcony. L’Alpaga chalets cater for up to 12 people on three floors and each has a modern living area with wooden eaves and wooden balconies and a wooden fireplace topped with sheet iron.  The chalets also benefit from a large patio and private garden.

La Table de l’Alpaga is a gourmet restaurant where Christophe Schuffenecker, Head Chef, offers refined mountain cuisine opening onto a magnificent landscaped terrace with views of Mont Blanc. L’Onyx is a more informal bistro and bar. Both restaurants cater for families with highchairs and child-friendly choices available.

Smallable kids club, for children aged 3 – 12 years, is a bright and vibrant space within the hotel filled with fun toys and games. During the ski season, Smallable is supervised between 4pm and 8pm. Age-appropriate drawing, crafts, videos and books are all provided. Megeve has numerous ski schools so if you do not like the large Ecole de Ski Francais, there are plenty of smaller ski schools with English speaking instructors offering skiing and snowboarding lessons that will be tailored to your needs.
