About The Hotel

The newly opened Arctic Treehouse Hotel is located in Finnish Lapland’s Arctic Circle in the midst of a magical forest which enjoys snow from December through to March. Next door is SantaPark Arctic World, a Christmas themed family adventure park where little ones and parents can meet Santa, enjoy elf workshops, ride on the magic train, visit the ice gallery to meet the Ice Princess, go to elf school, indulge at the Gingerbread bakery or simply play in the snow!  Families can also enjoy skiing and snow walking and Santa Claus Village’s Main Post Office is just 15 minutes away.

We can arrange day tickets to SantaPark including gifts from Santa, lunch, gingerbread cookies and a VEP elf hat. Other activities include a husky safari, reindeer farm tours and a snowmobile safari through the Lappish countryside, travelling through crisp white snow and over ice-covered lakes. Or why not catch the Santa Express bus into Rovaniemi to explore Lapland’s winter capital? As night falls, it’s possible to view the magical Northern Lights from the picture window in your cosy Arctic Treehouse. Spa treatments can be booked at the secluded lakeside Metsäkyly Arctic Forest Spa, a 20-minute drive away, to which transport can be arranged.

Each private pod-suite, with its warm wooden interior and exclusive Scandinavian design, includes a glass feature-wall with views of the magical snow-covered forest and winter skies. The resort has 32 individual Arctic TreeHouse suites and five larger Arctic Glass Houses. The units rest on short stilts and overlook a shallow valley, with a clear view of the aurora borealis, when visible.  For families, there are interconnecting suites with cosy nest beds decked out with warm furs and and well equipped kitchenettes are also available in some suites.

The Scandinavian bistro-style Rakas Restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rakas’s English chef Jonathan Guppy has plans for summer to nurture a herb garden and even beehives on the roof of the snowflake-shaped restaurant. The focus is on local ingredients and fresh, original flavours, inspired by Lapland’s unique climate.  Breakfast is a traditional Scandinavian buffet.

The Arctic Treehouse Hotel and SantaPark offer families with children of all ages a magical experience in a unique location.
