About The Hotel

Three generations of the Weiser family welcome guests to Ciasa Salares in Italy’s Dolomites, where the emphasis is on Italian cuisine and hospitality at the foot of the Val di Salares. Val Badia, located in the heart of Dolomites is known as the land of “Ladins”, an ethnic minority which has maintained its own language, identity and culture. The closest ski lift “Armentarola” is only 100 metres from this ski in ski out hotel and families are well catered for with a childrens’ play room, cookery classes and a chocolate room which will delight little ones.

The spa has a heated indoor pool, Turkish bath, sauna, infrared cabin and whirlpool as well as a fitness centre. Alta Badia is among the best ski areas in Europe with its 450 km of snow sure slopes, lifts and ski schools with updated teaching programmes and a snowpark for freestylers as well as ice skating and curling on natural lakes, rushing down on sleighs, or snow ball fights. The Ciasa Salares’ sun terrace is the perfect place for relaxing with a cashmere blanket and apres-ski hot chocolate. Grandmother Emma Weiser holds regular cookery classes for both adults and children.

Rooms are furnished in a typical South Tyrolean style with fir coatings and local handicrafts and most have balconies with views of the Dolomites. Lavarella suites are the best option for families, with a bedroom plus living room. Two extra beds can be added in the living room and stunning views of the Dolomites await you from the large balcony or veranda.

Ciasa Salares offers a choice of three restaurants including La Siriola, overseen by Michelin starred Italian chef Matteo Metullio and adjacent to the hotel’s chocolate room, La Terrazza which serves lunch on the sun terrace and the main restaurant which serves a seasonal salad buffet from the garden and a four-course dinner menu with at least one vegetarian dish, as well as a traditional alpine dish.

Whilst there is no official kids club at the hotel, there is a dedicated childrens’ play room (unsupervised) and babysitting is available on request. There is a choice of nearby ski schools with creche facilities for toddlers and we will be happy to recommend the best option to suit your needs.
