About The Hotel

This family-run property is a true little gem sitting just 10km from Marrakech but feeling like a world away. For those who prefer a more down-to-earth approach to their holiday, look no further than Fawakay Villas. Each villa can accommodate from 2 to 8 people and come with private plunge pools and outdoor terraces for dining. kids will love the small visitors that can regularly be seen roaming around the property – goats, chickens, tortoises and peacocks to name but a few. You can also get acquainted with Dorris, the mad hat-wearing resident donkey!

The 3 villas offer full privacy and home-from home amenities. Complete with wood-burning fireplaces, a small pantry and honesty bar, the décor is a fusion of modern contemporary meets Berber style and in some rooms a hint of Africa. Villas can be booked in their entirety, or as rooms and suites, all offering an en-suite facility with interconnecting options too. In addition to the plunge pools and terraces, guests will love the large outdoor summer houses or Berber tents, perfect for some family down time.

The food is varied and traditional and can be served in any place of your choosing. Snacks such and humous and crudities are available throughout the day, plus some wonderful fresh and healthy soups and salads prepared with produce from the organic vegetable garden. Kids can enjoy the usual favourites including pizza and spaghetti bolognaise. Vegetarians are well catered for within the evening set menu which changes on a daily basis. Mealtimes are a great opportunity to meet other Fawakay guests, or put the kids to bed and enjoy some adult time on your private terrace. Guests wishing to venture into nearby Marrakech can take advantage of the babysitting service and enjoy some of local restaurants, recommendations come personally from the owners Dawn and Francis.

With four children of their own living at the property, Dawn and Francis have created the perfect family hideaway without all chaos often associated with larger mainstream resorts. Kids will love making their own pizzas in the new pizza oven, sampling some mini mocktails and for those that love cooking, the local chef Bouchera will be able to run minichef classes in the kitchen for those up to the ages of 6. Your little ones can even enjoy some mini spa treatments by the local visiting henna lady. Kids are provided with traditional “djellabas” for a truly authentic experience! Additionally younger guests can enjoy table tennis, clay modelling, tennis, dune-buggy ridiing, quad bikes, horse riding, camel riding plus a host of local excursions nearby including a fantastic water park. Babies and small tots are well catered for with babysitting services, baby monitors, baby baths, sterilising equipment, bottle warmers and cots. Local shops are few and far between so we advise pre-ordering nappies,  and formula through us and we can ensure all is ready and waiting for you on arrival.

Other facilities include a large heated pool, an outdoor sitting room with an open fire, spa treatments on request, a small gift shop, DVD library, cookery classes, organic vegetable garden and internet access.
