"Thanks for recommending and organising a truly wonderful holiday. We had a great time at the Forte and we also had a very lucky upgrade which made it even more special! I would score our holiday a 5, it could not be better.
The Forte though at full price is not worth it and this is according to almost all the people who were staying there. Without a good deal, it is too expensive for what it gives. In our case, value for money was 10 out of 10. And that's only thanks to Tots Too which we've talked about with many friends and guests.
Next trip should be more exotic and maybe in January.. We'll contact you about that!

Good to hear from you. We had a lovely holiday in Sardinia. Overall we would give it a 3.5. The resort itself and the facilities & entertainment were all excellent. We received a very warm welcome (including fruit and bubbly) which was great, and the service from the hotel reception staff (especially at Royal Pineta reception) was all to a very high standard. We really enjoyed riding bikes around the resort, and my husband was very impressed with the Tennis coaching and facilities. Food/restaurants overall were very good.
Downsides were the room generally, which was quite dark and desparately needed updating (dark as we couldn't open the windows/doors due to the mosquitos). It didn't feel 'luxurious', and we suspect that we would need to spend a lot more money on upgrading rooms/accommodation to increase the room standard. The service in bars/restaurants could be patchy. In La Locanda (Michelin star) it was of course excellent, as was the food. However at the chic beachfront bar, we were left sitting for 20 minutes without any service at all on 2 nights running, which was frustrating. We didn't go back. The pizza restaurant at the beachfront however was fantastic.
I have to add a word about the nightly entertainment (resident band, dancers, compares and kids club entertainment) which was all very enjoyable and very professional. Kids Club was extremely good, perfect for Maddy as they pitched to her age group well (bowling, go-karting, water slides etc.) and the staff there were all great.
Also, just to say there were jellyfish in the sea and both my husband and Maddy were stung quite badly on their first morning. The beach staff were very uninterested. They did have some 'solution' to wipe on the stings and they obviously knew about the jellyfish, but there were no public notices to warn residents and the staff said nothing. It would be a good idea for the resort to let people know (especially with small children) that there are jellyfish about.
Overall, it was a great 'fun' place to be with lots to do, but the rooms need to be improved for the price. Hope this helps !

"This is truly a resort where guests are looked after and the staff do their utmost to ensure you have a really enjoyable holiday. Accommodation ranges from quite simple 4 star rustic cottages to 5 star luxury rooms and bungalows. All the accommodation is set amongst immaculately kept lush gardens with plenty of trees for shade. The essence of the resort however is not really about the accommodation, it’s about being out and enjoying the multitude of activities, sports, the beach and the pools, relaxing at the spa and dining in fabulous restaurants. Although first impressions were of a large resort, I quickly found my way around and the resort is really well signposted with plenty of ‘you are here’ maps. If you are feeling lazy there are also electric buggies that you can hop on/off. At the heart of the resort is the splendid Oasis Pool and the Piazza Maria Luigi where there is high quality entertainment every evening and designer shopping.
The kids club has wonderful amenities and a well structured program of activities. For a charge kids can dine with the kids club team at the Aquarium children’s restaurant for both lunch and dinner. A wide variety of restaurants are dotted around the resort with range of cuisines and buffet, table d’hôte and a la carte options. Food is of an excellent quality with lots of fresh seafood and Sardinian specialities. Kids will love the ice cream kiosk with ‘Kinder Bueno’ flavour apparently being one of the favourites.
During a slightly rainy morning, I was fortunate enough to try out the Thermae Spa Thalassotherapy pools. 6 pools blend into an almost tropical rainforest setting. Each pool has different water temperatures, balances of salt/minerals and oils to gently relax and detoxify as well as water jets to massage and sooth tired muscles. An hour and a half later, I came out feeling nicely invigorated. The sandy beach runs along the front of the resort and is well stocked with loungers and umbrellas. The water is crystal clear and the beach shelves very gently into the sea, so it’s perfect for kids."
