About The Hotel
Four Seasons in Florence is an excellent option for a family city break. Whether you are looking to spend several days or seven days, both Florence and the hotel will not fail to disappoint. A mere 15 minute walk into the city centre, the Four Seasons offer families the chance to experience the true hustle and bustle of Florence, but at the same time is a secret haven where families can escape to.
All Four Seasons are well known for their excellent service and attention to detail and the Four Seasons in Florence is definitely not an exception to the rule. What makes this hotel stand out from the rest is its eleven-acre private park; the Giardino della Gherardesca is one of the largest Florentine gardens and its privacy and enormity offers its guests a well-deserved break. The hotel hosts the only hotel spa worth mentioning in the whole of Florence. Featuring 10 treatment rooms, a whirlpool, steam room and an excellent 27.8 metres long outdoor pool. Furthermore, the spa offers signature services and treatments, including ones specifically for children; Junior VIP facial, a Chocolate hug massage are to name a few. Yet still, why not discover the “Full Time Mom” spa experience; which both mother and child can enjoy together.
The hotel is made up of two “palazzos” nestled on either side of the park and consists of 116 rooms and suite. If looking for more privacy and isolation then the annex building ‘La Villa’ may be the perfect solution, otherwise the main ‘Palazzo della Gherardesca’ would be ideal for those looking to have direct access to all amenities. Both interconnecting options and suites would best accommodate a family.
The hotel’s 3 restaurants leave you feeling spoilt for choice. Il Palagio; awarded one Michelin star and located in the main palazzo, also offers a children’s menu, as well as a kid’s corner for breakfast. La Magnolia situated in La Villa is where guests staying in this area of the hotel can enjoy their breakfast. The Al Fresco and Pool Tree Bar is set in the gardens, adjacent to the swimming pool and spa and is open for both lunch and dinner; perfect for children wanting to enjoy a ‘gelato’.
The hotel may not offer a crèche or a kids club, however this will not necessarily be missed. Florence and its surroundings is brimming with plenty of activities for families to take part in and the hotel will of course help arrange these. Also, during the high season and in the festive season the hotel offers plenty of activities for children to enjoy, including; pizza and pasta making, a visit to Pinocchio Museum (the puppet’s adventures with toys and fantasy playhouses) and tennis and horseback riding nearby. Babysitting is also available. Children under 18 occupying the same room as parents or guardians stay for free
The Four Seasons Florence is an exciting addition to our Italian properties, as it is an excellent option to twin with another holiday in Italy. Why not experience Florence and the Tuscany countryside in one holiday?
