About The Hotel

Comprised of luxury hillside villas shaded by coconut groves and overlooking the Gulf of Siam, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is a lavish island retreat with modern conveniences and an excellent choice of accommodation for families.  The resort’s 42 acres is characterised by hundreds of coconut palms and 150 varieties of plants, on the site of a former durian, jackfruit and mango orchard. The exemplary service and facilities for which Four Seasons is known are in abundance here, with a choice of activities for families including water sports, family cooking classes, a children’s spa, fishing and Muay Thai boxing.

There is a large pool overlooking the private white-sand beach which hosts an array of beach sports including Coconut Petanque, table tennis, volleyball and soccer as well as spa treatments and even cocktail making classes. The Muay Thai for kids programme teaches basic techniques and helps develop flexibility, strength and coordination and the spa offers a range of treatments using local products as well as a programme for children. For adults, there’s a movie night under the stars or a private cruise to Angthong Natural Park as well as two tennis courts and a fully equipped gym.

All 70 villas and private residences have their own pool, many with panoramic views of Laem Yai Bay, Koh Phangan and the Gulf of Siam. All accommodation has a full bathroom plus private outdoor rain shower, deck or terrace and separate living area. The family villas sleep up to two adults and two children, occupying a space of 118 square metres, and are just a short walk from the beach. The large bedroom has glass doors to a separate living area and there is an additional children’s bedroom with a second LCD flat screen television and DVD player. The outdoor area is furnished with a daybed, a marble dining table, chairs and sun loungers.

The dining experience extends beyond the two main restaurants, with the additional options of dinner on the beach prepared by executive chef Alex Gares and an in-villa “bucket barbecue” or private a la carte dinner. The open air Koh Thai Kitchen and Bar offers authentic local flavours and an excellent wine list and beach restaurant Pla Pla,  meaning “many fish” in Thai, is a casual spot for an extensive selection of fish and seafood in the daytime and creative Mediterranean cuisine in the evenings.

The complimentary Kids for All Seasons programme, for children aged 2 – 12 years, offers a variety of games and activities at the Kid’s Club, including sandcastle building, movie shows, beach games, traditional Thai craft-making and games and more. It’s open from 8am until 5pm daily and evening babysitting is available at an extra cost.

Nearby, the charming Fisherman’s Village has a selection of Chinese-style shop houses with boutiques and beach-side dining and the Angthong National Marine Park, reached by boat, is a protected reserve including more than 40 islands with sheer limestone cliffs, virgin rainforests, white-sand beaches and offshore coral reefs.
