About The Hotel

Fuerteventura’s Dunes of Corralejo natural park stretches over more than a thousand acres of fine white sand and the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real 5* GL is located on the sea front in the centre of this impressive landscape, with views to the Atlantic Ocean, Los Lobos Island Nature Reserve and Lanzarote. A favourite for families, the hotel offers luxury in stunning surroundings, with a kids club, choice of pools, a varied programme of activities for all ages and plenty of opportunities for relaxation.

There are two huge lagoon pools surrounded by palm trees, with a separate kids’ pool, an adults-only whirlpool bath and plenty of sun loungers. For the ultimate chill-out there are Balinese sunbeds at the Coco Beach Chill Out area and the world-class spa specialises in hydrotherapy with a warm indoor pool overlooking the sea. For the adventurous, the hotel offers courses in surfing and kite-surfing, while on land there’s hiking and mountain-biking.

Rooms and suites are furnished in a contemporary style with warm tones and soft textures and have king-sized or twin beds and balcony or terrace. The family rooms have two separate bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and one with twin beds as well as two bathrooms and are located on the ground and first floors with views to the pool.

Guests can choose from no less than six restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. The main buffet restaurant offers local and international dishes with themed and show cooking nights. Gourmet restaurant La Cupula is overseen by Michelin starred chef Carles Gaig who prides himself on the creativity of his team’s dishes. There is also a Japanese restaurant with sushi bar and Teppanyaki, Spanish fine-dining restaurant Las Columnas and, for lunch, afternoon tea or cocktails, the Beach Club Las Palmeras and the Piano Bar El Mirador, which also has a programme of live music in the evenings. The Coco Beach Lounge & Club restaurant situated on the pier in front of the hotel offers finger food, Mediterranean menu and signature cocktails with stunning views of Lobos and Lanzarote. The three a la carte restaurants are open on alternate nights so it’s best to make a reservation. Kids’ menus are available at all restaurants.

For kids, there’s a large play park, separate baby splash pool and the Mini Club Arlequin (4 – 12 years) is open every day from 10am until 6pm, offering a varied programme of games, competitions, events and mini-discos every evening. There’s a computer games room for the over sevens, with a Play-Station and Wii and all children receive a special welcome pack with bathrobe, slippers and gift as well as milk and cookies before bed (on request). Babysitting is available at an extra charge.

The shops, craft markets, bars and restaurants of Corralejo are just a 20-minute walk away and it’s worth taking a trip out to Los Lobos Island, a beautiful “desert island” and home to a large variety of native plants and animals.

Reviews

  • LL 24 February 2015 "We had a really lovely time. The weather was perfect all week, the kids absolutely loved the kids club and the staff were all, without exception, really lovely. The only downside was that the food wasn't great and we ended up having to feed the kids in the room most evenings as there wasn't anywhere serving food between 5-630. All in all though we had a wonderful break - thank you for all of your help. We will be in touch soon to organise our summer holiday!!
