About The Hotel
Havana’s Central Park is fringed with palm trees and crumbling pastel coloured colonial buildings and the landmark Iberostar Parque Central presides over the hustle and bustle of this beautiful city. Just a few steps from the winding streets of Old Havana, the iconic Capitolio and Hemmingway’s favourite haunts La Bodeguita del Medio and La Floridita, the Iberostar Parque Central is perfect spot for a few days’ exploration. The hotel’s position allows for unrivalled views of Havana from the rooftop swimming pool. Families are accommodated in Suites sleeping up to four or, for older children, adjoining rooms can be booked.
Iberostar Parque Central Rooftop Pool
The rooftop pool is a great spot to cool off after a day’s sightseeing in the city; there is also a bar serving Mojitos and ice creams. The spa offers massage and beauty treatments as well as an indoor plunge pool and the lobby bar features live music performances every evening. Using the hotel as a base, you can easily explore Old Havana on foot and we recommend dining out at a local Paladar, or privately run restaurant, an evening at the world-famous Tropicana cabaret club or take a stroll along the Malecon stopping for an ice cream at the famous Coppelia ice cream parlour.
Iberostar Parque Central Room Types
Rooms are decorated in a classic Cuban style and distributed among two buildings connected by an enclosed walkway, many with impressive views of the city. The spacious Colonial Double rooms sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children or, for extra space, families can upgrade to a Junior Suite or Suite.
There is a choice of three restaurants, including Mirabana serving authentic Cuban dishes with a modern twist, Mediterraneo buffet restaurant and El Paseo Steak House, a meat, fish and seafood grill. Kids menus are available in all of the restaurants and special meals can be prepared on request.
There are no specific kids facilities or kids club at this city hotel but babysitting is available on request. You will find that Cubans dote on children and the staff will spoil them at every opportunity. We recommend staying at the Iberostar Parque Central for two or three nights to explore Havana and compliment your beach stay. Note that although the Iberostar Parque Central is officially a 5 star resort in Cuba, Cuban standards are a little lower than those in the rest of the Caribbean and we classify the resort as 4 star.
Babysitting is available on request.
