About The Hotel

Nestled on a 300-acre private Caribbean island two miles from Antigua, Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort is a secluded haven filled with lush landscapes, palm trees and three stunning white sand beaches. After touching down in Antigua, families are whisked away on a short and scenic private cruise to Jumby Bay Island, making it one of the most desirable and exclusive private retreats in the Caribbean.

Surrounded by warm crystal waters, Jumby Bay is a playground for water sports enthusiasts of all levels. The water sports staff are ready to assist and instruct guests in a variety of complimentary activities that include water-skiing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling. Snorkeling trips to nearby Bird Island — a haven for wildlife — are offered weekly. The resort can also arrange diving trips and eco-tours further out into Antigua’s waters, which are known for their well-preserved coral reefs, teeming with marine life.

Jumby Bay is made up of a selection of rooms, suites and privately owned villas. The Rondavel rooms embody the traditional style and elegance of Jumby Bay. These rooms are located in octagonal-shaped cottages featuring wrap-around terraces with views of the Caribbean Sea. The Rondavel, Beachside and Rosewood suites combine luxury with tropical elegance. They feature a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom with a large walk-in shower and a private outdoor garden with a rain shower.

From breakfast to evening cocktails, Jumby Bay’s culinary vision marries simplicity with sophistication. From the fine-dining romance of the historic Estate House to the casual Caribbean fare of the Pool Grille, the gastronomic selections are inspired by fresh, local ingredients and international influences. With four restaurants to choose from families are spoilt for choice when dining at the resort. Kids menus are available on request.

The resort’s Rose Buds program is designed to provide younger guests with special services, amenities and facilities just for them. Rose Buds offers endless possibilities to explore the unique wildlife and natural surroundings (by bike, beach or water), as well as a mix of activities especially tailored for specific age groups. The children’s pavilion is Jumby Bay’s headquarters for fun, games and discovery. The dedicated program for 3 to 11-year-olds provides a host of opportunities for outdoor excitement and creative expression, including Little Chefs, Wildlife and Ocean Adventures, Discover Science, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dance and Sing, and Day at the Beach. Rose Buds Camp Jumby offers a unique opportunity for children to take an active part in the island’s conservation efforts. Under the direction of specialist researchers, young guests can experience a turtle nesting on Pasture Bay Beach, and participate in the release of hatchlings into the sea.
