About The Hotel
Offering idyllic island living coupled with access to lots of water sports and family activities, the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is a favourite with families looking for more than just a stunning beach (although it has this too!). From morning yoga by the pool, swimming with the magnificent Maldivian marine life and a Chef’s Table cookery class to learn secret recipes to pampering with a Shine Spa treatment, basking by the freshwater pool and sailing into the sunset to spy on the dolphins, there is something for everyone. The Sheraton Adventure kids club, kids’ dining options and spacious family rooms will keep little ones and parents happy. The resort is just fifteen minutes from Male airport by speedboat which makes it ideal for families who prefer to minimise their travelling time.
The large free from freshwater pool is framed by a waterfall and separate kids’ pool and drinks and snacks are served poolside. On its own private island, the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa’s beaches offer families pristine white sands and crystal clear waters and the beach bar at the southern end of the island serves refreshing drinks. There’s a well equipped fitness centre, a tennis court and the spa is located on a separate private island. The PADI dive centre arranges programmes for all ages and abilities and lets you discover angelfish, barracuda, clownfish, manta rays, grey reef sharks, parrotfish, whale sharks and more of the Maldives’ unique aquatic characters, with visibility exceeding fifty metres at times. Water sports include parasailing, wind surfing, catamarans and wake boarding and families can take a fishing or sunset cruise excursion.
Deluxe rooms in the main building can connect for families and all have a private balcony or terrace. You’ll find extra space and seclusion all under one thatched roof in the Island Cottages, located just steps from the lagoon with views of lush tropical gardens. The private balcony has a daybed and there is an open air shower plus separate indoor bath for soaking. The beach front cottages are located right on the sea shore and there are various over water rooms including water bungalows and the larger water villas. For families looking for extra space and luxury we recommend the Ocean Pool Villas which come with their own private garden with infinity plunge pool, daybed, hammock and outdoor rain shower on the private deck.
There is a choice of seven restaurants and bars including Feast, a casual buffet restaurant with regular themed cooking, Sand Coast offering al fresco dining by the sea and Sea Salt, a fine dining beach grill. There is also a Thai restaurant and two bars close to the beach serving fresh fruit cocktails and iced treats. There are children’s menus available at all restaurants and families can also purchase an all-inclusive dining programme for kids with different options available throughout the day.
