Once the world capital of exotic spices, Grenada is a hidden gem in the Caribbean and the family-run Spice Island Beach Resort is arguably the best resort on the island. This boutique-style resort has just 64 suites, many overlooking Grand Anse Beach to a backdrop of lemon, almond and sea-grape trees. Owner Sir Royston Hopkin and his family offer understated luxury and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, often inviting families to their nearby home for cocktail parties. There is a supervised kids club, water and land sports for adults and the opportunity to explore the beauty of the “Spice Island”.
There is s large free form pool overlooking the beach and complimentary water sports include Hobie-cats, snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding. Tennis and cycling are also available and for adventurous families tours to the rainforest with a stop at the Saturday market can be arranged as well as sailing charters and PADI certified diving courses. Janissa’s spa harnesses the restorative powers of local herbs and spices with the fragrance of nutmeg, the soothing calm of ocean seaweed and Aloe Vera. As well as trips to the rainforest and spice markets, alternative days out include the bolder carvings of Duquesne Bay and The National Museum in St. George’s.
A private stretch of powder-fine sand is framed by 32 beachfront suites featuring exterior terraces with hammocks and private lawn gardens. The beachfront suites have one or two bedrooms and there are 17 additional pool suites with their own private swimming pools and gardens just steps away from the ocean. The Royal Collection, Luxury Almond and Anthurium Pavilion Pool suites are all private oases with modern luxuries such as flat screen televisions, Italian Frette™ Linen and en-suite bathrooms featuring soaker tubs and double vanities. Sea Grape Beach Suites lie directly on Grand Anse Beach and contain ocean-view tubs in addition to an elegant living area and private garden with chaise lounges and a double hammock.
Oliver’s Restaurant, located seaside, features Creole and international cuisine, and a vegetarian selection. Guests have the opportunity to savor authentic local specialties in a fine dining atmosphere, while enjoying the very best of Grenada’s calypso, reggae and steel bands.
The Nutmeg Pod kids club offers a supervised play space for children aged 3 to 12. Open daily from 9am to 5pm, there is a weekly schedule of organised activities and games along with healthy snacks ensure a fun-time for all. Featuring electronic game stations and board games as well as outdoor activities, The Pod gives parents an opportunity to enjoy a spa treatment or relaxing day on the beach. Babysitting is also available on request.

The kids club is open daily between 9am and 5pm for children aged 3 - 12 years.
The resort is around 15 minutes' drive from Grenada airport. British Airways runs regular flights with a short stop in St Lucia.
Child and infant car seats are available for airport transfers.
For teens there is a range of water sports as well as tennis.
