About The Hotel
Sugar Beach is a secluded Viceroy resort, with heavenly views of the Pitons and the Caribbean sea. The 18th century colonial style is combined with the latest modern facilities and luxurious touches. There is a wealth of activities for energetic families or for those who want to simply relax, there is no more beautiful spot.
Guests can choose from Luxury Sugar Mill guest rooms with plunge pool and garden views, or the private Luxury Villas with generous living space, or the Luxury Beachfront Bungalows just a step away from the sea, or the ultimate Residences with private pools, full kitchens and 2-5 bedroom options.
The hotel’s three restaurants include the Great Room for dinner, the a la carte Bayside Restaurant by the waterfront, and the Terrace for breakfast with a sea view. As well as room service, why not ask the Beach Concierge team for fresh pizza and burgers by the pool or on the sands. For a memorable dining experience, just choose your resort setting and the chefs will offer a personalised menu, whether you’re barefoot on the beach, champagne on the pier or under the stars on your own terrace.
Sugar Beach is internationally renowned for its excellent diving. Accredited by the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI), novices and experts alike may experience some of the best dive sites in the world.
Many guests challenge themselves to climb the Gros Piton and treat themselves to a local lager at the top. In the evening, you can drive down to a local fishing village, watch the catch come in, and enjoy it fresh off the barbecue. Another popular visit is to see the ruined fort at Pigeon Island. The colourful market at Soufriere is a great place to pick up local souvenirs.
The hotel supervises activities for children aged 4-12, including arts and crafts, volcano tours, fish feeding, glass bottom boat excursions and shell collecting at the beach.Families with older children shouldn’t miss the zipline canopy adventure at Errard Estate, where you can fly through the tree tops and finish by a beautiful waterfall.
Hold your nose and visit the world’s only drive-in volcano, with bubbling mud pools and plenty of sulphurous steam. You can also bathe here and slather yourself with mineral rich sulphur mud…excellent for the skin and reputed to help conditions such as rheumatism and arthritis.
For a more pampering spa experience, the resort’s own Rainforest Spa is home to excellent luxurious treatments, using the natural ingredients from the island, such as volcanic spring minerals, bananas, coconut, aloe vera and rich cocoa butter.
