Snowboard, telemark or downhill ski your way through Vail’s seven Back Bowls, Blue Sky Basin and the most groomed runs of any resort in the world. Families can Ski-in and ski-out from The Sebastian Vail Base Camp which is staffed in the winter seven days a week and private and group lessons can be arranged for all ability levels, from adults to children as young as three years of age. Ice skating, snow shoeing, hot air ballooning, dog sledding and horseback riding can all be booked via the hotel’s concierge.

Rooms are furnished in a “hip, boutique style” and offer families plenty of space with comfortable living areas and the finest amenities such as 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. The one and two bedroom luxury suites have separate living and bedroom areas for families as well as two bathrooms. For larger families, the Residential Suites have kitchens, fireplaces, balconies with valley or mountain views and all the comforts of home.

Dedicated to sustainable, local, organic and fresh foods, Leonora restaurant delivers world-class, alpine-inspired, seasonal cuisine along with wines from around the world. With an inviting atmosphere and vast selection of beer, wine and spirits, Frost is home to Vail’s coolest craft cocktails, perfect for après-ski or a nightcap before turning in for the night. The Tykes Room is a brightly decorated play area for the littlest guests, providing a fun space for families with children of four and under. The chalkboard wall offers children a canvas to create their most imaginative masterpieces and an elevated stage with curtains, karaoke and a closet full of costumes and chairs for a pint-sized audience encourage dramatic creativity. The bookcases are filled with storybooks, coloring books, games and toys, and there is always something fun playing the big screen. The resort concierge can also arrange babysitting and ski school bookings.
