About The Hotel
Long established as one of the Caribbean’s most family-friendly resorts, Windjammer Landing in St Lucia offers lots of fun activities along with spacious family accommodation in suites and three and four bedroom villas. Set on a hillside overlooking the Caribbean sea, this relaxed all-inclusive resort with a private beach stretches over 60 acres of tropical gardens. The newly expanded white sand beach is located at the bottom of a forested hill and a regular shuttle takes families from their rooms to the shore in a few minutes. The calm waters are safe for kids to splash around in and the kids’ club offers unique experiences including coconut bowling and limbo dancing.
Apart from the impressive stretch of white sand beach, five swimming pools (including two for kids), a full water sports program, fitness centre and floodlit tennis courts, families staying at Windjammer Landing can explore St. Lucia with a scenic island cruise, rain forest excursion or adventure tour. St. Lucia Golf Resort & Country Club, the only 18-hole golf course on the island, is just minutes from the resort, set amidst the rolling hills of Cap Estate with panoramic views of the sea and the resort’s 6,500 square foot spa incorporates a gym, exercise studio, outdoor yoga deck and six treatment rooms. The resort’s concierge can arrange rain forest zip-line and gondola tours, volcano tours, cycling tours, deep-sea fishing, dolphin & whale watching, kayaking, horseback riding and much more.
Accommodation for families is in suites or villas, some of which have their own plunge pool. The Hibiscus Suites are just steps from the beach, low on the hills of Windjammer Landing. The one and two bedroom Jacuzzi suites range from 700 to 1,200 square feet and feature fully-equipped kitchens and spacious living rooms. The one-bedroom villas (with optional plunge pools that are open from April 15 – December 20) include a king-size bed, open-air living and dining rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and sun-deck with an ocean view. The two, three and four bedroom villas are ideal for larger families.
There is a choice of five restaurants as well as the option of in-villa dining. Dragonfly is a modern Caribbean restaurant with regular themed nights including a beach barbecue and Papa Don’s Taverna offers Mediterranean and North African cuisine overlooking the sea. Embers on the beach serves barbecue and grilled dishes including roti flat breads with various fillings, the Upper Deck is a romantic seafood restaurant and Jammers is a laid-back beach bar with burgers, roti and fresh shrimp by day and live Calypso, reggae and steel bands by night.
