Andara Resort & Villas, Thailand

Andara Resort & Villas is a luxury resort nestled in the lush tropical hills above Kamala Beach on the west coast of the Island of Phuket.  It offers small, boutique style accommodation, ideal for those who perhaps want self catering with luxury, or who want a more spacious holiday experience.  The resort is very grand and has high ceilings with stunning traditional decor. 

Accommodation:

Guests can choose from either an apartment in the main hotel or the villas in the resort.  The apartments are located across 8 buildings, formed of 3 storeys and you can choose from 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms.  Expect huge kitchens with a dining area, a spacious lounge, floor to ceiling French windows and large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.  The master bedrooms are particularly striking with over sized beds and furniture. 

The ground floor apartments have a terrace with private pool, the first floor apartments have no pools and the penthouse apartments have a roof top terrace with a pool. All are brand new apartments with all the mod cons.

Groups of friends or larger families may prefer the privacy of the villas.  These are set in the same style as the apartments and offer a range of 4, 5 and 6 bedroom villas.  They offer spacious pool and terrace areas, a variety of double and twin en suite bedrooms and all of the bedrooms have their own access from the gardens so they can all be very private but families can come together to dine in the villas large living/dining and kitchen area.  Some of the villas boast a games room and BBQ area. They even boast their own chef and villa attendant.  The views across to the Andaman Sea are truly stunning.

Dining:

The main hotel is home to the infamous SILK restaurant which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There are no buffets here: for breakfast sample cold meats and cheeses, fresh baked breads and pastries, or order something warm to order.  For lunch, there is an eclectic mix of Thai, Mediterranean and international dishes and dinner is truly Thai style with spicy curries and rice dishes to choose from.
