Trou Aux Biches, Mauritius

Set on one of the finest beaches in Mauritius, Trou Aux Biches has re-opened its doors after a complete top to toe "no expense spared" refurbishment. The powdery white sands and calm waters make it the perfect safe haven for the kids to enjoy and even better that the location is famed for having some of the best sunsets on the island. The resort is set out in a village style so whether you take one of the beautifully appointed suites, or the spacious villas, each accommodation offers private terraces or pools within the shady palm groves.

Accommodation

The Junior Suites and Tropical Junior Suites start at a spacious 70sqm and feature outdoor showers, private terraces and wifi/media hubs. These are recommended for a maximum of one child sharing. The Family Suites are perfect for up to three children and are just under 100sqm in space with pool or garden views. For those with larger families or those seeking total privacy, then we would highly recommend one of the stunning two or three bedroomed villas complete with a private pool, full kitchen facilities and a villa valet.

Dining

There are a total of six restaurants at the resort. L'Oasis is the largest of them serving buffet style international cuisine throughout the day and overlooking the magnificent beach and pool. La Caravelle is also open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves international dishes which can be ordered a la carte (with a supplement for those on half board) or from the set menu which is included for guests on the half board meal plan. Le Deck is the beach side restaurant (also included for guests on half board) and open for lunch and dinner by reservation. There are three specialty restuarants open for dinner only; Blue Ginger which serves Thai dishes and available for guests over 12 only, Mahiya for Indian fayre, also for guests over 12 and Il Corallo for Italian cuisine. Guests dining at these restaurants can order from the set menu within the half board plan or a la carte at a supplement.

There are two bars, the Oasis Bar open till 1am serving speciality cocktails and pancakes and Caravelle where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets with a fine spirit or champagne and cigars in hand.
