Reviews from Tots Too clients, just back from Porto Sani Village in Greece.
Review from NP, guest at Porto Sani in September 2011: "We had a lovely stay at Porto Sani Village thanks. The resort is lovely and the food fantastic. The only thing I would love them to change is the pool, as it would be nice if it was heated. Other than that we cannot complain, all the staff are very attentive and were brilliant with Emily. The accommodation was spacious, nicely decorated and furnished and the whole resort very clean and well run. We didn't believe we would get true 5 star in Europe but this resort has proved us wrong.
We may go back next year depending on when new baby arrives. Thanks for your recommendation."
Review from AF, guest at Porto Sani in July 2011: "All went very smoothly. Hotel is great, really good and everything seems so much easier their than some other places we have been, especially with two young kids. The two bed suite was excellent, well located and kitted out. If being hyper critical it would have been good to have a microwave to help with the kids food etc but they said they could get one for us if we needed one.
It’s a clean, well maintained resort with very friendly staff who don’t mind kids in the restaurants, they also have a staffed kiddies table with toys and drawing materials to entertain the younger ones during meal time. Marina is good for shops and restaurants and the supermarket there had virtually everything so all in all it was very easy. Loads of sun loungers and they do not let people “pre-book” the best positions first thing, so always plenty of space.
Downside, food and drink is expensive, punchy London prices, so go half board. Quality of food is very good though. Overall it was a big success."
Review from JW, guest at Porto Sani in June 2011: "We had a lovely, lovely time at Porto Sani Village thank you. I was impressed by the spaciousness and stylishness of the property and grounds. Having golf buggies on call to take us around was an unexpected luxury at 30 weeks' pregnant! We were made to feel like VIPs and the staff couldn't do enough to assist. For example, heavy rainfall made some of our garden very muddy and wet which was a bit treacherous by the patio. Within a couple of hours, staff had laid doormatting round the edge to solve the problem. We had no bad experiences at all and I'm happy to be quoted. BTW, the Easyjet flights worked out really well - very family friendly and being in resort for lunch on the first day was magic.
Please let us know when offers are available for next year!"
Review from HB, guest at Porto Sani in June 2011: "Thank you so so much for our anniversary treat! The hotel staff left a rose petal heart shape on the bed, and brought us a bottle of pink bubbly and lots of fruit. I thought that they had just been very observant and noticed the anniversary cards on the side, but when I thanked Olga she said that you had told them. I hadn't even remembered mentioning it to you so it was a fabulous surprise. It made the day even more special so thanks for being so thoughtful.
Once again we had a fantastic holiday at Porto Sani Village. I didn't think it could be any better than the previous year but somehow it was. Staff were even more attentive, helpful and accommodating. The carers at the kids club were absolutely brilliant. The food, both in variety and quality of cuisine was excellent. The surroundings were beautiful and immaculately maintained, and despite being fully booked the Village felt uncrowded and relaxed. I couldn't recommend it more highly to anyone who wants a holiday that perfectly blends fun and decent food for the kids, with genuine relaxation and excellent restaurants for the parents.
Booking with Atarra at Tots Too makes the entire process very smooth and efficient. Nothing is ever a problem and I really feel that I will always get an honest opinion on a destination, which is incredibly valuable.
I honestly can't say thank you enough. Hopefully we can book something for next year too!!"
Review from LL, guest at Porto Sani in May 2011: "We are back from our amazing holiday. We had a brilliant time, great weather, delicious food and the staff could not do enough for us. The staff in the Mellissa club really put us at ease and our daughter loved going to "school", K loved it also. The Porto Sani Village provided a play table while you had your breakfast and dinner so we enjoyed our meal and Erin played with other children while supervised, brilliant ! We also enjoyed a few nights out and the babysitters were very trustworthy.
Although the place was expensive, it really was worth it and we came back relaxed (apart from the journey back with Ryanair!). The only one negative thing is I would have liked a bolt at the top of the door our apartment as Erin kept opening the door but apart from that the place was faultless.
We would definitely recommend this resort and we have not stopped boasting about it since we got back, hope to go back next year!
I would also like to say thank you to you Helen for helping me with my queries and would also recommend you and your company, you were great!"
Review from JF, guest at Porto Sani in May 2011: "Thank you so much for your input on this holiday, overall it was a huge success, apart from the middle 2 days when the weather was cool and rainy, but that you couldnt control! When the sun shone it was gorgeous.

The resort lived up to expectations, it really was a 5* complex, we loved the marina area and the beach. The rooms were perfect (although a mini 'kitchenette' in the family room could have been useful ie sink and microwave area). Our suite was very impressive. The service was excellent throughout, the staff were so helpful. The food in the hotel restaurant was good and the 'dine around' arrangement worked out well. |

With so many children on the site (although very well behaved) it could have helped to have a childrens 'tea time' at 5.00pm instead of having to search around for kids food. ( We were under the impression the food would be more child friendly - although they couldnt have been more helpful preparing Abi's special food as she is allergic to wheat and dairy).
The spa was divine and thank you for the lovely massages.
The only criticism there is the indoor pool area was not warm enough and the pool was cold, we tried the pool at the Beach Hoteland that was warmer, (even though they kept insisting it was the same temperature as ours it definately wasn't).
We would go back and we would highly recommend the resort to our friends.
Thanks again and keep me posted on any 'specials' there."
Review from SL, guest at Porto Sani in October 2010: "Thank you. Another great holiday put together by yourself! We had a super time although the resort certainly had a feel of end of season – some restaurants in the last few days had limited menus etc. I’m sure in season the resort would be excellent.
The kids club deserves particular mention, completely overshadowing others within similar resorts."
Review from SP, guest at Porto Sani in October 2010: "We had a lovely time despite the weather being dreadful!! The resort was great. The room was beautiful and we were lucky enough to stay in it until the end rather than having to move. I would certainly highly recommend it to any family looking for a relaxing holiday. There were plenty of pluses and a few minuses. The variety and choice of restaurants was great. The facilities were excellent although not really great if it was raining but they tried to help improve things by creating a play room in one of the hotels. The best restaurant by far was the Sea You Up on the Marina. The spa was over-subscribed and hard to get a treatment so recommend booking in advance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, bizarrely with the exception of the reception team who were a bit flaky. We hired a babysitter every night and he was brilliant but would say that if you want a child free dinner - dine later as everyone else seemed to take their children to dinner with them and keep them up late.
Your advice on booking everything in advance was spot on. Even though we changed a number of bookings once we got there it was good to have a fall back as everywhere on half board dine around scheme was fully booked! The creche was good although Imogen refused to go in it!
Worthy of particular mention is Thomas the manager of the Sea You Up restaurant and Taru who was our babysitter. I hope this is helpful. Thank you for all your help."
Review from DC, guest at Porto Sani in September 2010: "We had a great holiday thank you. Everything was perfect! (apart from our two children which I can't blame you for!!!)
Accommodation / staff / transfers etc were great. I have been lucky enough to stay in some quality hotels around the world and this was to a very high standard. We of course would recommend you guys to our friends."
Review from JP, guest at Porto Sani in September 2010: "We had a great holiday at Porto Sani. Kicking myself we didn't go for longer!! We liked it so much we think we might go next year, and I never thought we would want to do that.
In general, we thought the resort and Porto Sani Village were excellent. We spent a bit of time at the Sani Beach Club, and that seemed really nice too, but the Village appeared to be the best option for us.
It's difficult to pick out specific things that made it so good. But the suites and the food stand out in my mind. The suites were really good for a small family. In terms of the food, I am always slightly wary of half board options, as it often means you end up having the hotel buffet in the evening, but it worked brilliantly at Sani. The hotels own restaurant is a la carte (and very good) and the dine around option was brilliant. I loved eating somewhere different every night, and on most evenings it being included on the half board.
My feedback on all aspects is generally very good.....the only possibly negative comment I could have is that its all quite manufactured, i.e. the port and marina are clearly all purpose built for the resort. But that is being ultra critical and I didn't really give this any thought, and it actually provided a benefit in that you could guarantee the quality of the restaurants and that they'd be tolerant of the kids! Not much of a negative...
Thanks for your help booking this, we'll hopefully be in touch again soon."
Review from AD, guest at Porto Sani in September 2010: "We had the most wonderful time at Porto Sani Village – everything had been thought of in order to ensure that both parents and children had a relaxing holiday. The food was particularly good – varied and of a high standard. The childcare was also excellent. We are saving up for our next trip."
Review from LC, guest at Porto Sani in September 2010: "We had an amazing holiday. Perfect weather, brilliant food. The hotel was so child friendly met all our needs. I couldn't recommend the place enough!
While we were out there talking to lots of other families I was recommending Tots Too as I felt you helped me a lot to find our perfect honeymoon/family holiday and made it all very easy. I also have a sister that has just recently had a baby and she is going to use you guys for her holiday next year.
So thank you for all your help sorting our holiday and we will definitely will be contacting you next year."
Review from PF, guest at Porto Sani in August 2010: "We really enjoyed our holiday - and could have stayed longer! Porto Sani Village was lovely, Chris and I were really impressed with the resort. The location was perfect (within the resort) - it was peaceful but only moments away from the Marina where there was lots of great restaurants and views. Having visited the Sani hotel one day, we were really pleased to have stayed at Porto Sani, much quieter and more relaxing than the hotel. The service was top-notch, it was very personal and I felt as though the staff were ready to help with anything that was needed. Restaurant choices were really good - overall we loved the food, although I thought there could have been some more inspiring options for the little ones. We thought the kids club/creche was very good, but our two children (age 4 and age 17 months) were not quite that excited about going. I think it's more to do with the fact that they wanted mommy and daddy time on holiday (and pool and beach!) and the club activities didn't involve as much water time as ours would have liked. That said, we did find the staff to be excellent - and we had one of the senior staff babysit one evening and she was fantastic. It really is a great resort, very well designed and well-suited to families with little ones. We would certainly consider going back, or would love to hear any of your recommendations for another similiar holiday for next year. Please feel free to share any of my comments on website, etc. Thanks again for all your help with planning our trip."
Review from IM, guest at Porto Sani in July 2010 "We did have a good time thank you very much. In particular the crèche was a real success, our kids enjoyed going and the staff made a real effort to entertain them. Very happy with your service so will recommend you to friends / colleagues."
Review from PM, guest at Porto Sani in July 2010 "We had a great time thanks and enjoyed our return visit. The resort was much as we remembered with a few improvements - especially the Melissa Mini Club under new management. In terms of things to improve - we didn't get a garden room despite booking so early and couldn't see why not. We complained and - surprise surprise - were offered one the next day! We'll be looking for a new venue for next year though but would consider returning to PSV in the future!"
Review from DJ, guest at Porto Sani in June 2010 "We had a wonderful time at Sani, very nice indeed and would recommend it. If I was being picky and had to think of any drawbacks there would be a few:
1) I would recommend you trying to fit families in to the areas of rooms either in the 100’s or 200’s as we were in the 400’s and it is a fair uphill walk with a pushchair!
2) I am guessing that in July & August it would be really busy, I personally prefer a quieter resort and it was just about OK for me, I think it was bigger than I expected.
3) Dine Around is OK but not brilliantly explained, set menus in a few restaurants but the nicer ones in the Marina still ended up costing a bit more, no problem for me but could be an unwelcome surprise
On the plus side the staff are excellent, the Customer Servcies Manager ( Milos I think? ) is exceptional and attentive, knows you by name and very helpful. All staff were brilliant and attentive, the Kids Club was excellent as was the pool & facilities.
Beach was great, everything was clean & well kept, overall very pleased and will use you next year but will try a new resort as we like a change!! Lastly the private transfers were superb and well worth it."
Review from PL, guest at Porto Sani in June 2010 "The PSV was fabulous, a great choice for us as a family, and definately the best option for us of the 4 different options in the resort. The personal welcome on arrival was a lovely touch and we found all of the staff an asset to the hotel. The only niggle that we would have is that when we booked to eat in one of the restaurants at the Beach Club, we were not made aware that men should wear long trousers, and so when we made the journey over there, Charles was turned away - with several other gentlemen at the same time, it's worth adding. It just would have been worth them mentioning it upon booking and it would then never have been a problem. We ended up having to get the bus back and because of the distances involved, and having a hungry and tired 3 year old, ate in the buffet restaurant at the Beach Hotel as we didn't need a booking for there. That said, the buffet provided something different food-wise and the ice cream counter was a huge hit with Adam. The kid's club was great and so nice for Adam that the staff were British. We used the pools at PSV and the Beach Club, which were all fabulous - especially the adults only pool - and what a great beach.
We were glad not to have opted for the dine-around. I think it probably is cost effective if you get baby sitters most nights and can enjoy a relaxed and long meal, and therefore really make the most of the food on offer. We chose to eat with Adam which he gained a lot from in experiencing different foods. How fab is the See You Up restaurant? Interestingly, we considered the dine-around again when we arrived and one of the reception staff said that it wasn't worth it.
We didn't get a garden room as requested and so were upgraded to a Deluxe suite. This was generous of them, although I'm not sure how much more of a benefit this was, although the room may have been slightly bigger and we got an ipod dock, which we found useful. The room was lovely, with a view of the marina, with all of the rooms a generous size. Thank you for all of your help in arranging the holiday, it has been a pleasure corresponding with you. We will certainly consider using your services again in the future.
In summary, we would love to go again and will recommend it to everyone we can"
Review from SW, guest at Porto Sani in June 2010 "In a nutshell this was the first holiday we have had in years where we didn’t actually want to come home! The Sani Village was the best place for us in terms of size, privacy and quality. Staff were beyond excellent and the food was great. I think if we weren’t on dine around we may have taken a different view as the prices were very high eg we managed to spend £1000 in 10 days just on drinks and lunch, goodness knows how much that would have been if we were on B&B. The new open air theatre was great as were the pools and gym. Restaurants in the Marina: the Macaroni was superb but the dine around at the Oozerie and Tomata was pretty poor verging on very bad – very different food to the a la carte menu. Flights with BA – very good and on time both ways with no delays. Taxi transfer – very good. 45 minutes and all on time. Child seat was provided. Big point to note – the kids club / crèche was full when we arrived (end of half term week) so we couldn’t get our daughter in until the start of the next week when it became quieter. Apparently you can book in advance – well worth pointing out to people who book at busy times in the future. I must reiterate – a very, very good holiday!!"
Review from JC, guest at Porto Sani in June 2010 "I would say great quality everything, a few vacant waitress staff who will be much better by the end of the season but on the whole staff couldn't have been friendlier, food amazing and place fantastic. Our travel consultant at Tots Too thought of everything for us and as a consequence our holiday went without a hitch. Porto Sani Village is truly fantastic for kids and adults alike, especially those with small children. I'm hoping to book the same holiday for a third time with Tots Too next year!"
Review from HB, guest at Porto Sani in June 2010 "We did have a wonderful time thank you so much. It was a great holiday for the kids and for us due to the mix of brilliant child-focused activities and facilities and high level of service and quality of food. I was impressed with the kids club (brilliant staff), the various pools & all the toys provided, the decent kids menus, affordable baby sitting and general friendly approach to kids, and for us I loved the variety of restaurants, the ambience and especially that amazing adult only pool for those precious child-free times! The toy table at breakfast is a brilliant idea as once the kids had finished they would happily sit and colour-in while we had a leisurely end to the meal (and ANOTHER pastry - oh dear!).
I always thought that a holiday destination that truly catered for small children would be a compromise on the level of luxury and relaxation that we would want from a holiday but Porto Sani Village manages to have it all.
There were a couple of times when the 'welcome' into the Asteria restaurant wasn't as warm as you might expect and these same girls seemed annoyed every morning when we asked for a table/or two pushed together, to accommodate both families for breakfast. They often got distracted and would disappear leaving us to organise the table and get booster seats/high chairs. But this is a minor point. We'd be very interested in any offers that come up for a similar time next year and offer the same value for money so please keep us posted."
Review from FF & DF, guests at Porto Sani in May 2010 "We had a fantastic honeymoon at Porto Sani Village and were very impressed with the attention to detail for couples with children. It was the small things that made it brilliant - the fact that the bar would happily give you warm milk for the baby in the evening, the towelling robe in our daughter's size, the children's table in the Asterias restaurant. We were impressed by the constant high standard of the staff who were lovely at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. All in all we had a lovely week. Our only comment would be that the pools were cold and therefore we didn't really use them as much as we would have liked. Based on the fact that Porto Sani village is family orientated, in our opinion it would be money well spent to heat these pools early in the season."
Review from NB, guest at Porto Sani in May 2010 "Just to let you know that we are having a fantastic time at Porto Sani Asterias and this is without question one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at - it's outstanding and have had a wonderful relaxing time despite our son being ill and having been to see the doctor on site. I wonder if you could give us a quote for coming out here in September for a week? I just thought I'd let you know how impressed we are and thank you so much for making our holiday a memorable and relaxing one."
