Turtle Beach Resort Barbados

An all-inclusive, all-suite resort on the south coast of Barbados, Turtle Beach Barbados sits along a stunning 1,500 foot stretch of white sand beach where sea turtles return to lay their eggs year after year. The lead-in room category can sleep up to two adults and two children and families are well catered for with a kids club and lots of facilities including tennis courts and water sports.  The resort is within walking distance of St. Lawrence Gap with its variety of restaurants, shops and nightlife and families can also explore the historic streets of Holetown and the famous Oistins fish market.

There are two free-form freshwater swimming pools, a whirlpool and separate children’s splash pool as well as complimentary water sports , including windsurfing, boogie boarding and kayaking. The spa offers treatments including stone or aromatherapy massages and an array of beautifying treatments and there is a fully equipped fitness centre. Turtle Beach Barbados can also organise snorkeling along the crystal clear waters of the Barbados coast, explorations of the ocean by Hobiecat as well as swimming with turtles and horseback riding on the beach. Every evening there is family entertainment including traditional steel bands.

The Junior Suites have pool or garden view and have a separate seating area with sofa bed for up to two children. For more space, the One Bedroom Suites have a separate living room and come with either pool or ocean views. All rooms are furnished with  vibrant Caribbean décor and modern touches, including private patios or balconies. Turtle Beach Barbados staff can organise a baby or toddler welcome pack for your room including formula, nappies, wipes and other essentials so you don’t need to pack a full suitcase.

There is a choice of three restaurants serving international and local cuisine and with excellent kids’ menus. Chelonia is a lively, open-air buffet restaurant with an extended outdoor courtyard seating and evening entertainment, The Waterfront is beachside and a lovely spot for a candlelit dinner or weekly BBQ and Asiago’s is am adults-only Zagat-rated authentic Italian restaurant under the leadership of the executive chef, Deano Wason. Private dining on the beach or in the hotel grounds can also be arranged. For kids, the kids club includes a morning snack, which is often incorporated into a fun cookery class, and there this an early dining supper at 530pm every day. The Waterfront offers an all-day Snack Menu, featuring deli sandwiches, burgers, pizza and ice creams and popsicles are available at the beach.

At the Flying Fish Kids’ Club, kids, tweens and teens can play Wii, pool and air hockey as well as attend chaperoned movie nights. A kids’ splash pool and plenty of water sports provide fun in the sun, while supervised games and activities at the indoor club are a cool escape from the heat. The kids club is open from 9am until 9pm daily for children aged 3 to 12 and younger children can attend accompanied by a parent or babysitter. Teenagers can enjoy boogie boarding and cricket on the beach as well as kayaking along the coast or gathering with new friends for a game of football.

Babysitting is BDS$25 per hour and BDS$5 per additional child per family. Taxi fare for sitters starts at 10:30 p.m. and will be charged at a rate of BDS$30 and BDS$55 after midnight.

The kids club is complimentary and is open daily for children aged 3 - 12 years. Younger children can attend if accompanied by a parent or babysitter.

The resort is pushchair friendly.

The resort is just a twenty minute drive from Grantley Adams International Airport.

There is a separate children's pool.

The resort can supply bottle sterilisers and warmers as well as a full baby or toddler kit including nappies, wipes and formula (must be pre-ordered, charge payable locally).

Infant and child car seats are available for airport transfers.

Teenagers can enjoy boogie boarding and cricket on the beach as well as kayaking along the coast or gathering with new friends for a game of football.
