About The Hotel

We’re excited to present a carefully crafted collection of adventure tours and tailor made itineraries for families with older children. Recommended for children aged five upwards, this tour takes in Cambodia’s highlights with added family-friendly experiences, visiting the ancient temples of Angkor Wat including Bayon, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara and Ta Prohm where Tomb Raider was filmed, cycling through rice fields, visiting a school and spending a day at a local village with a Khmer family. There is also some time on the beach in Sihanoukville and a cyclo tour of the bustling capital Phnom Penh. Accommodation is in 4 and 5-star hotels in family rooms.

All of our Cambodia arrangements can be tailored to you and we will be happy to discuss your exact requirements and make recommendations in order to ensure you enjoy the best possible family holiday. In addition to a unique itinerary in Cambodia we can create a combined tour with Vietnam, Laos or even Thailand.

Day 1

Arrive in Siem Reap

Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa or similar for a five-night stay.

Day 2

Angkor Wat

After breakfast, take a Tuk Tuk to the ancient capital of Angkor Thom to see the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk and Bayon temple. Spend the afternoon enjoying the hotel facilities. After dinner there is the option to visit Phare, The Cambodian Circus’ daily one hour show. Enjoy a blend of traditional and modern theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, juggling and comedy about Cambodian lives and society. Overnight at the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa.

Day 3

Rice Fields and Angkor Wat

After breakfast, depart on a cycling tour through Khmer villages visiting the rice mills where rice wine is made and meet children at a local school who will love to chat with you to improve their English language skills. For families with younger children or those who are not keen on cycling, transport can be provided. Transfer back to the hotel before lunch.

This afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.  Overnight at the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa.

Day 4

Tomb Raider

This morning, drive to the remote Beng Mealea temple through the typical Khmer countryside to explore the long abandoned mystical temple immersed in jungle.  In the afternoon, visit Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples surrounded by jungle and famous for being the backdrop to Lara Croft’s adventures in Tomb Raider. Overnight at the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa.

Day 5

Floating Village on Tonle Sap Lake

After breakfast enjoy a unique Ox-Cart Ride in the countryside for a glimpse of traditional village life and drink coconut milk with local families. Visit a floating village and take an excursion on a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia and one of the largest in Asia. A free afternoon to enjoy the hotel facilities. Overnight at the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa.

Day 6

Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your flight to Sihanoukville, Cambodia’s most popular beach resort. Sihanoukville is far from the highly developed resorts of nearby Thailand but there are some good family friendly hotels and stunning beaches with warm, shallow waters. Sokha Beach Resort is a 4 star property on a private white sandy beach with large open plan rooms or suites for families, a complimentary kids club open daily from 8am until 8pm, a spa and two swimming pools with a separate kids pool.
