Two hours north of Miami, on the east coast of Florida, Club Med Sandpiper Bay stretches along the St Lucie River, surrounded by lush vegetation. When you feel like a break, take a walk down the St Lucie River, which runs alongside the resort and admire some of the best scenery Florida has to offer. Overlooking the river and with a man-made sandy beach, a choice of pools and “Kidz Village” with splash park, Club Med Sandpiper Bay offers an all-encompassing family holiday experience.

 Club Med Sandpiper Bay’s sports school offers group lessons and activities for adults and children of all ages including tennis, golf, beach volleyball, basketball, football and much more. The spa has a Turkish bath, couples’ treatment rooms and wellness programmes. The Junior Fit programme for children aged 4 upwards offers group activities and team sports including Le Petit Tennis and junior golf.

Rooms are divided between seven two-story buildings on the banks of the river and include Family Club rooms which have individual terraces or balconies and either a large room with enough space for all or a room including a separate sleeping area for the children. We recommend the Deluxe Family rooms which have two bedrooms and a large living space complete with a fully stocked mini-fridge. With this room you will also have the option for a private garden or terrace with a water view.

The Club Med all-inclusive package includes all meals, snacks and drinks with a supplement for Champagne and premium spirits. Club Med Sandpiper Bay has a choice of three restaurants. Marketplace overlooks St. Lucie River and the main swimming pool and offers a range of international dishes, including Asian, Italian, Mexican and American cuisine, as well as specially prepared kids choices and low calorie dishes, Soleil is a waterfront restaurant ideal for lunch and Riverside Grill and BBQ serves a selection of local specialities and gourmet dishes. Situated between the main bar and the theatre, The Slice welcomes families and couples alike and is the perfect place to relax in between activities. Families can hang out  in the lounge area or can head to the sports bar for a drink and a game.

The Baby Club, for babies from 4 to 23 months, focuses on early learning activities and creative games and includes lunch, tea and an afternoon siesta. Toddlers aged 2 – 3 years have access to a fun and spacious premises with plenty of outdoor space with activities including dressing up, make up, fashion shows, listening to music and puppet shows. Mini Club Med is for children aged 4 – 10 years and offers group games and activities, cookery lessons, nature activities, art and crafts by day and movie nights and other evening activities so parents can enjoy a romantic dinner. There’s even a teens club for 11 – 17 year olds with activities including flying trapeze, tennis, sailing and Stand Up Paddle boarding and beach parties and movies by night.
