Baby-friendly holidays: the luxury hotels we recommend for babies and toddlers
The best luxury hotels for a holiday with a baby or toddler take the hard work off your hands: a crèche you can trust, a cot and steriliser waiting in the room, and a short drive from the airport. Our favourites are Porto Sani and Eagles Palace in Halkidiki, the Ikos resorts in Greece and Spain, Oku Andalusia on the Costa del Sol, Bahía del Duque in Tenerife, Carlisle Bay in Antigua and One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius.
Porto Sani and Eagles Palace take babies into their clubs from 4 months, and most Ikos resorts from 6 months. For winter sun, Tenerife is about four hours away and warm all year round.
The places recommended below, with the exception of Oku Andalusia which is a new hotel, are places the team at Tots Too have enjoyed over the years with their own family. We have been trying and testing the best places for children for the past 19 years.

Porto Sani, Halkidiki: best for babies under one
Porto Sani is our top pick for a first holiday with a baby. Its crèche, Sani Little Explorers, takes babies from 4 months and follows UK Ofsted guidelines.
- Baby kit: cots, bottle warmers, sterilisers, changing mats, bath seats and buggies, plus baby toiletries and bedding.
- Childcare: the crèche from 4 months, private nannies on request, evening babysitting, and Babewatch, a free 30-minute childcare service on the beach.
- Extras: free baby sleep advice from Carol Mae Baby Consulting, baby swimming and sensory play sessions, and family suites with private pools.
- Getting there: about 3 hours 30 minutes to Thessaloniki, then about an hour by car.
Lots of lovely places to walk to around the hotel, including the marina meant you could enjoy change of scenery when pushing the babies around trying to get them off to sleep!
Eagles Palace, Halkidiki: best for a quieter corner of Halkidiki
Eagles Palace is near Ouranoupolis on the third peninsula of Halkidiki, and its kids’ club welcomes children from 4 months to 12 years.
- Baby kit: cots, high chairs, baby monitors and other baby equipment. Some items are subject to availability or charged extra.
- Childcare: a baby club for 4 months to 3 years, and babysitting from 4 months.
- Rooms: connecting rooms, and suites and villas with private pools.
- Getting there: about 3 hours 30 minutes to Thessaloniki, then about 1 hour 30 minutes by car.
After a stay with their daughter’s in July 2026, Emma and Deborah both agreed that the gorgeous beach, and the spacious villas made it worth the longer airport transfer.
Ikos Resorts, Greece and Spain: best for all-inclusive
Ikos resorts are all-inclusive, so meals, snacks and drinks are covered, and families are looked after from the moment you arrive. There are resorts in Halkidiki (Ikos Oceania and Ikos Olivia), Corfu (Ikos Dassia and Ikos Odisia), Kos (Ikos Aria), Crete (Ikos Kissamos), Mallorca (Ikos Porto Petro) and the Costa del Sol (Ikos Andalusia).
- Childcare: a crèche from 6 months, or from 4 months at Ikos Dassia, which is charged extra. The kids’ club is free from age 4, and children aged 4 to 12 get 30 minutes of free supervised time on the beach or by the pool each day. Babysitting is available at extra cost.
- Baby kit: at Ikos Porto Petro, for example, Stokke cots and high chairs, baby baths, toilet seats and baby monitors are provided, buggies can be hired, and the toddler menu includes purées.
- Getting there: from about 2 hours 15 minutes (Mallorca) to about 4 hours (Kos and Crete).
[Our experience: add which Ikos resort you’d recommend for babies, and why.]
Oku Andalusia, Costa del Sol: best for stylish design and a short flight
Oku Andalusia is one of the newest family-friendly hotels in southern Spain, in Alcaidesa on the Costa del Sol. Its 2026 season opened on 17 April with a new kids’ club.
- Childcare: a kids’ club for children up to 12, with an adventure playground, treehouses and splash areas, and babysitting for children under 2.
- Rooms: one- and two-bedroom family suites, and a four-bedroom villa with its own pool.
- For parents: an adults-only pool area at the Alma beach club, and a spa.
- Getting there: about 2 hours 45 minutes to Gibraltar, then about 40 minutes by car.
Emma stayed at the hotel in April 2026 and said it was one of the most stylish and cool kids club spaces she had seen in a long time, especially the lego room!
Bahía del Duque, Tenerife: best for winter sun
Bahía del Duque in Costa Adeje is warm all year round and a 20-minute drive from Tenerife South airport, which makes it our first choice for winter sun with a baby.
- Baby kit: cots, baby baths, bottle warmers, baby monitors, high chairs, potties and buggies. Some items are subject to availability or charged extra.
- Childcare: a kids’ club for ages 3 to 12, and babysitting from birth.
- Rooms and pools: junior suites, private villas at Las Villas with direct beach access, and eight pools.
- Getting there: about 4 hours 15 minutes to Tenerife South, then about 20 minutes by car.
On top of all the other incredible facilities, Emma said the food was standout.
Carlisle Bay, Antigua: best for the Caribbean with toddlers
Carlisle Bay’s Cool Kids Club starts at age 2, which is young for the Caribbean, and the whole resort is set up for little ones.
- Childcare: Cool Kids Beginners for ages 2 to 3, then clubs for 4 to 7 and 8 to 12, open daily from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm. Babysitters are available on request.
- Baby kit: cots, high chairs, sterilisers and nappy bins on request, a shallow toddler pool, and a splash shelf in the main pool.
- Food: a children’s high tea in the early evening, so you can have dinner together afterwards.
- Getting there: about 8 hours 30 minutes to Antigua, then about 30 minutes by car. The hotel is open from mid-October to August.
This was a club where Deborah’s kids actually asked to go in!
One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius: best for long-haul once they’re toddlers
Le Saint Géran sits on its own peninsula with almost 2km of white sand. It’s a long flight, so it suits families with toddlers better than young babies.
- Childcare: the KidsOnly club from age 3, and babysitting every day from 9am to 10:30pm. For under-3s there’s a charge and 24 hours’ notice is needed.
- Food: the all-day children’s menu is free for under-5s.
- Rooms: interconnecting suites, two- and three-bedroom suites, and Villa One with a private pool.
- Pools: a family pool at La Pointe with supervised swimming.
- Getting there: about 12 hours direct to Mauritius, then about an hour by car.
When Director and Founder of Tots Too stayed there with her daughter, it was one of the most relaxing stays she had ever experienced.
What makes a hotel truly baby-friendly?
A baby-friendly hotel does the heavy lifting, so you don’t have to pack half your house. This is what we look for:
- A crèche or baby club that takes your child’s age, with qualified staff
- A cot, steriliser, bottle warmer and baby bath ready in your room
- Babysitting, so you can have dinner together
- A shallow children’s pool, and plenty of shade
- A short transfer from the airport, ideally under an hour
- Connecting rooms or a suite, so naps and early nights don’t mean sitting in the dark
- Children’s menus and early mealtimes
