About The Hotel

Croatia is becoming the go to destination for families seeking sunshine and adventure in Europe. With many of the sites of Croatia largely undiscovered, off the beaten track or a boat ride away, this is the perfect multi-centre destination for families who are strong swimmers and history buffs. This self-drive and independent itinerary mixes private guided tours with plenty of free time to explore the local areas as a family.

Day 1 – Dubrovnik

Upon arrival meet your rental car representative and drive yourselves to Sun Gardens Dubrovnik. This will be your base for 5 nights. Spend the remainder of the day enjoying the resort facilities.

Day 2 – Dubrovnik

Discover Dubrovnik’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, you will fall in love with the beauty of the city.  A private guide will teach you about the history of the city and explore some of the lesser known sites including churches, monasteries and museums. This tour is roughly 2.5 hours long. We recommend asking the tour guide for the essential guide to Dubrovnik, the must sees and dos and where to get an authentic meal for the days you are free to explore on your own.

You will then proceed towards the Konavle valley, where many of the traditional way of life is preserved. Visit a family run farm, taste their homemade olive oil grappa and wine and enjoy a home cooked lunch at family Muji’s rural estate.

Be chauffeured back to your hotel to spend the evening at leisure. We recommend driving to a high point and watching the sunset, the setting sun over the crystal blue waters is incredible.

Explore Korčula, the sixth largest island in the archipelago, its Venice influences and beautiful island islets along the coastline.
