About The Hotel
Raffles Praslin is tucked away in blissful seclusion close to the Anse Takamaka Beach nestled amongst lush greenery and gentle slopes of stunning granite formations. It’s a world-class resort for families seeking intimate residential charm in paradise. The resort is accessed by airplane from Mahe to Praslin and then a scenic drive (25 minutes). As Raffles Praslin is situated on the driest area of Praslin the vegetation is still developing, but they also benefit from less rainfall in this area. Families can wait for their connecting flights at the Raffles Lounge which boasts changing facilities, WIFI and a small restaurant and bar.
Pristine white sandy beaches, blue waters of the Indian Ocean and an endless list of recreational facilities make Raffles Praslin a paradise for families. There are two beaches that hotel guests can use, and complimentary transfers are offered to the famous Anse Lazio beach used in many adverts, which is around 5 minutes drive away. Here families can sample local cuisine in the beach shack or sample water sports such as kayaking and wind surfing. To protect the local ecology no motorised water sports are offered in the Seychelles. Praslin Port is around 15 minutes drive from the hotel and guests can take local day trips to the likes of La Digue Island or Curiuese Island which is opposite from the resort and serves as a natural barrier from the trade winds which can bring seaweed onto the beached in the Seychelles from May-September. Bicycles are offered on a complimentary basis to explore the resort and local area. The resort is home to the largest spa in the Seychelles, this is their first signature spa offering 13 treatment rooms, a tea room, fitness studio, steam, sauna, outdoor relaxation area with pool and a pavillion where yoga classes and pilates classes can be arranged.
Just 86 villas are scattered across the 30-hectare resort, each boasting its own plunge pool and bathroom with picture window and separate shower and each villa benefits from 24-hour Raffles Butler service and 24-hour in-villa dining. The villas are spacious and vary in size from 125-275 square meters and are located on the South and North side of the Valley which divides the resort.
