About The Hotel

Most of Cambodia’s islands in the Gulf of Thailand remain undeveloped, beautiful oases of virgin rainforests, tropical reefs and glistening white beaches. Song Saa Private Island lies secluded in this magnificent seascape, just 35 minutes by boat from the port of Sihanoukville. Families looking for a taste of paradise will not be disappointed; walk among old-growth rainforest, watch dazzling reef fish swim under your villa or see rare hornbills land on your balcony. The first private island in the region to offer sustainability, community development and luxury accommodation in the still undiscovered Koh Rong Archipelago, Song Saa welcomes families to experience a unique natural environment, with specially arranged activities for adults and children alike and accommodation in over-water, jungle and ocean-view villas built with respect for the natural environment.

The Always-Included policy works like an all-inclusive programme, with the only exceptions being motorised water activities and some adventure and conservation experiences. There is a large infinity edge swimming pool, spa and wellness sanctuaries positioned in the rainforest and along the shore, a yoga and meditation centre on the shoreline, ideal for yoga at sunrise, water-sports such as Scuba diving, kayaking, snorkelling, boating and an ecological programme for families to experience the area’s flora and fauna. The resort can organise island safaris, rainforest encounters and a visit to a traditional Cambodian village. After a hard day of sightseeing, families can enjoy a movie night in their private villa, with a private screen, projector and lots of popcorn!

Song Saa is made up of 27 private villas, either over water or with jungle or ocean views and all with private pool. The one bedroom villas measure a total of 135 square metres and have a king size bed, oversized sunken bath tub, fully stocked mini bar, Bose surround sound system, Ipod and android docking stations, high speed wifi, lounge area which can accommodate an extra bed, outdoor shower, sundeck with day bed, poolside shower, private pool (26 m2) and a dedicated Guest Experience Ambassador. For more space, the two bedroom villas are 301 square metres and include a fully equipped kitchen, a bar with a mojito making station and 12-seat dining table.

Guests can expect a unique dining experience that takes age-old Cambodian traditions and combines them with the best of modern Western techniques. Vista Bar and Restaurant sits just off the island’s shoreline surrounded by the sea and is staffed by world-class chefs cooking contemporary Cambodian cuisine. Driftwood Bar has a relaxed and rustic feel and offers a pizza and tapas-style menu and families can also dine by the pool or in their own villa. For an extra special experience, choose one of the secluded hideaway spots for a private dining experience tailored to your family.

Although Song Saa has no official kids club, the resort and its nearby attractions offer some fascinating (and educational) experiences for families which can be tailored to the ages of your children. In addition to rainforest adventures and desert island cruises, children can enjoy a treasure hunt on the beach, a visit to a local school, the chance to participate in conservation projects, beach picnics and child-friendly water sports. Babysitting is also available on request.
