Could LUX Mauritius get any better? It just did!

The rooms are all sea-facing and are a great size for our clients, with Family Suites offering 120 sqm of space with a king size bed for parents and two single beds for the kids. The LUX* Suite is twice that size and comes with its own solarium and large terrace overlooking the lush gardens. Whichever you choose, all the rooms have had a Kelly Hoppen makeover, for style and comfort.
All the restaurants are new, with daily themed buffets and a choice of Asian or Mediterranean cuisine. Signature coffees are roasted in-house for your daily fix and the bar stays open till midnight. The trendy Duck Laundry offers Asian Tapas and non-traditional dishes. A Michelin-starred chef heads up the amazing Indian restaurant: this is a kid-free zone, so one for a romantic night out for parents while a babysitter takes the strain. Children will be more than compensated for at the ICI station, where island fruits are used to make fresh ice cream.
For those for whom the sparkling lagoon and sugar white sands aren’t too much of a distraction, there’s high-speed Wi-Fi resort-wide (free of charge, naturally), although most guests find it all too easy to leave thoughts of the office behind.
The LUX* Me Spa has also been totally refreshed, with a spa suite for couples, traditional Chinese medicine cabins, Thai massage cabins, an authentic Chinese tea lounge, bridal boutique, sauna and steam room, chilled plunge pool, gardens, shop and salon. Make yourself deserve it with a work out in the up-to-the-minute fitness centre, brimming with the latest equipment.
Much of what makes LUX* Belle Mare special remains unchanged, such as the island’s largest swimming pool, complimentary land & water sports and a world-class beachside setting. The kids club is one of the best, with a local flavour, introducing kids to Mauritian dance, henna tattoos and crab hunting.
We hope that you will have the pleasure of experiencing the new LUX* Belle Mare soon, especially if you can fit us into your suitcase!« Back to blog home
